Cn tower pictures11/18/2023 ![]() It's worth going up to the higher SkyPod (for a higher charge), not because the view is massively different 33 floors higher up, but because it's a lot less crowded up there. the external (mesh covered balcony area) with the wind whipping by. watching the planes land and take off at the (Billy Bishop) Toronto Island Airport YTZ down below spying into the SkyDome/Rogers Centre "model village" things you can look at, e.g. the glass floor in the main pod: I didn't have a problem with it at all (and I'm not 100% great with heights and edges) but maybe that was the trust I placed in the engineers overriding the irrational fear of stepping out onto the void glass floor in the elevators to give you a real sense of how high up you're going More expensive than I thought it'd be (CA$50 including taxes for the trip up to the main pod and the higher skypod), but impressive views of the city (of course) plus: While this seemed very pricey, in retrospect, it was well worth it for the memories. For one adult and a child, it was $108 CDN. One drawback is the cost of the tickets to the Skypod. The next time we come to Toronto, I will almost definitely make reservations at the 360 degree rotating restaurant as it promises to be an unforgettable experience. That said, you can actually see how much the Tower is swaying by looking at a "plumb -bob" that hangs down in the Skypod and shows the building's movements in the wind (not more than 4 or 5 cms when we visited). So, a word of warning, the Skypod is not for the "faint of heart". It was quite windy during our visit so, at the Skypod level, you could actually feel the slight movement of the CN Tower. (Worth noting is that she was perfectly bilingual.) Our guide who took us up to the Skypod (Zaina) was especially welcoming and excited for us. The entire staff and especially the guides seem to understand how exciting this experience can be for first-time visitors. The whole CN Tower experience is one of cool, clean efficiency (even the washroom facilities were modern and spotless). The area still lacks vegetation and soil cover, with the stones eventually becoming a rolling landscape of round hills and gullies.I took my youngest son to the "Skypod" to experience the true magic of the CN Tower and we were not disappointed the views were spectacular and unforgettable.
